This necklace features a beetle painted in enamel. i hand painted the beetle onto a glossy glass enamel surface with enamel "paint" the paint is made from very fine powdered glass mixed with a binder to turn it into a paintable substance. once the design is finished it is heated with a torch to burn off the binder and permanently fused the glass particles together into a tiny glass painting
