The “You make me smile” collection is hand fabricated by Katie Holland from sterling silver and vitreous enamel.
The smiley faces are crafted from 5 layers of powdered glass enamel. Each layer is fired to approx. 1500 degrees which melts and fuses the glass onto a copper base. After all the layer have be fired, a happy face is hand drawn with liquid black enamel onto the yellow base and fired one last time to permanently fuse it into place. Because each face is hand drawn no two are alike and this individuality adds to the joyful whimsey of the pieces. 
Custom setting are created for each smiley face from sterling silver.
